Affrilachian Music with Dr. Dena Jennings

Join us for an evening of Appalachian and Black American roots music with Dr. Dena Jennings. Jennings performs Appalachian and folk Indian music on handmade gourd instruments and hosts the Affrilachian On-Time Music Gathering, an annual retreat and concert featuring Black American string band musicians from across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom — Jennings endeavors to build the Beloved Community through her devotion to music, culture, and social justice.
